Angling, Sturgeon / Lake Lake Sturgeon (Acipenser fulvescens) has very oily flesh that is a delicacy when smoked. It takes a cagey angler to catch this bottom feeding fish. They enjoy natural baits like minnows, nightcrawlers, and cut baits. This fish is found only in large rivers and connecting lakes.
